As we prepare the course, the schedule may be slightly adjusted and supplemented.

There will be Russian Diamond Way teachers participating in the course. The lineup is being clarified with Lama Ole Nydahl.

FM-translation of the lectures into English will be provided. You can bring your own FM-radio and headphones, renting service will also be available.
LIVING CONDITIONS

Kaluga course takes place in the field, so please bring a tent, a mat and a sleeping bag.

There are toilets and showers with hot water.

Regular hot meals are provided, subject to preregistration (deadline June 7). There is a cafeteria for those who have not done the registration. For the registration form please contact us at kalugacourse@buddhism.ru

All of the Dharma program is happening in a big Gompa-tent. There is a separate Canteen-tent for eating and socializing.

We don't know yet if we have public wi-fi this year and mobile internet speed will depend on base stations loading, so please be careful with planning remote work from the course.

HOW TO GET TO THE SITE
You can get to the course site from Moscow city by car or combining trains / buses / taxi.

International Uber in Russia may not work. To use taxi services in Russia, you need a Russian Uber. You can download the apps here: Uber Russia for iOS and Uber Russia for Android

The full route is: Moscow → Kaluga → Ferzikovo → Koltsovo → Voronino (the festival site "Vysokye berega")
Moscow - Kaluga
A train. A train. Regular and local trains Moscow - Kaluga-1 depart from Kievsky railway station. Local suburban train schedule you can find here https://clck.ru/FwvPn. Travel time is about 2,5-3,5 hours depending on the train. There are two train stations in Kaluga. You have to choose Kaluga-1 station because the bus (to Ferzikovo) you need departs from this station square. If you still chose Kaluga-2 station you can go by taxi or local bus No.10 from Kaluga-2 to Kaluga-1 station. It will take about 30 min.

A bus. Buses Moscow - Kaluga depart from the bus terminal at the metro station "Salarievo" (red underground line) and arrive at a bus station which is situated next to Kaluga-1 station.

There are also flights to and from Kaluga city from and to Saint-Petersburg.

Taxi. You can get to the course place from the airports or from Kaluga via taxi by apps. UberRussia (please mind that it's a separate app from international Uber!), Yandex taxi, Maxim, Rutaxi are recommended. For destination point try to paste or type "МПБ Калужский ретритный центр"
Kaluga - Ferzikovo - Voronino
The local scheduled bus to small town of Ferzikovo leaves from bus terminal situated next to train station Kaluga-1. Travel time is 1 hour. The ticket costs 106 Rub.

Taxi costs around 250 Rub. Tell the driver you need to go to Voronino Village, to Festival site "Vysokye berega". Local taxi phone numbers:

If taxi doesn't know the festival site "Vysokye berega" («Высокие берега») tell to bring you to village Koltsovo (Ferzikovo district). You need to tell the driver to use the following address in the GPS: Voronino village, Ferzikovo district, Kaluga oblast ( деревня Воронино Ферзиковского района Калужской области).
Moscow - Voronino
Taxi. You can go to Voronino village from Moscow by taxi. It will cost around 3000 Rub. Use the following info for the GPS: Voronino village, Ferzikovo district, Kaluga oblast ( деревня Воронино Ферзиковского района Калужской области)

By car. Moscow-Kaluga-Ferzikovo-Koltsovo-Voronino (250 km)
Best avenue to take from Moscow is Leninsky prospekt or Komsomolsky prospect which turns into Vernadsky prospect towards Vnukovo. Kievskoye shosse M3 (E101).
In approximately 130 km from Moscow turn to the junction to the left via right turn following the sign TULA, KALUGA. From there on go straight without entering Kaluga and leaving it on the right hand side. Keep going till a big overpass bridge following the road sign to TARUSA and take another left turn via right turn. From there go straight till a ring-road and take a turn to FERZIKOVO.
Keep following the main road leading to Ferzikovo. Starting with the main town square with a train station on it, keep to the right side of the road. After a grocery shop follow the right side of the road along the railroad. In 500 meters after the train station turn left and cross the railroad. Keep following the main road to Koltsovo. You will see a big bright yellow building in the village and a ring-road. Take the the first turn left. Keep going following the street of residential houses. At some point the road is no longer paved. Keep going till you see our parking lot. That's it, you've arrived.

By car. Moscow-Serpukhov-Tarusa-Ferzikovo-Koltsovo-Voronino (200 km)
Best avenue to leave Moscow is by Varshavskoe shosse or Simferopolskoe shosse M2 (E105) towards Tula. Take the right turn at 98th km of Moscow MKAD Ring road. Then go through Serpukhov towards Protvino. Once outside of the town turn left near the gas station and big monument with a tank towards TARUSA and Drakino airport. Then follow the main road till another turn to TARUSA. Do not enter Tarusa. Leave it on the left hand side. Follow the sign to FERZIKOVO. You'll arrive to a junction KALUGA - FERZIKOVO. Take the turn left towards Ferzikovo. Starting with the main town square with a train station on it, keep to the right side of the road. After a grocery shop follow the right side of the road along the railroad. In 500 meters after the train station turn left and cross the railroad. Keep following the main road to Koltsovo. There will be an organized shuttle to the course place from Moscow and back. Requests for such booking are also included in the registration form. Also one can get to the place with public transport or friends.

CHILDREN ON THE COURSE
Dear parents! That is wonderful that our Sangha is growing not only wider but also deeper) We've tried to organize your stay with kids as comfortable as we could. But we kindly ask you to keep in mind that you are going to a Buddhist course, not to a children's camp. That's why the conditions are more for Yogis and are not always comfortable for family vacations. Please be ready for accommodation in the tents with your children. Please take as much warm clothes as necessary for you and you children. And most importantly remember that are fully responsible for your child.

The course is held in the field conditions. That means that you have to take great care of your child's safety. Also it is your responsibility to make sure your child doesn't destroy anything on the course site and doesn't disturb others people practice. Thanks in advance for your consciousness and understanding!

KINDERGARTEN Children's club "Be a Buddha" (4 - 15 YEARS OLD)
Children's club "Be a Buddha" world only during the sessions. Only kids that are able to perform certain actions on the own (like going to toilet, wash their hands and so on) are accepted to the club. Each parent must take 1-2 shifts. And even better if a parent can host a workshop, sport game, contest and something else. During the week children will participate in art workshops, play team games, do sports and go easy hiking. There will be cozy get-together around the fire and film/cartoons screening in the evenings. Learn about the donation from the organizers.
RULES AND GUIDELINES

No alcohol. We don't want any kind of alcohol-related accidents to happen at the course, therefore everyone in a state of alcoholic intoxication will be removed from the premises without prior warning or a refund of the course fee.

No drugs. Drugs are incompatible with buddhist practices and thus entirely unacceptable for all the attendees of our centers and courses. For this reason all the "unwanted elements" at the course or in close proximity to it will be removed from the premises without prior warning as well as banned from all our centers and activities.

Photography at the course. Everything that is going to happen at the course, especially inside the meditation tent — the Gompa, is not considered to be public. Feel free to take photos for your family albums, but don't post them on the Internet or in social networks. Such situations as Lama's blessing or meditations are private and concern the teacher and the student only. Please, don't photograph or film those moments, unless specially asked by the people involved.

Publicity. Before posting any photos or videos taken at the course on the Internet or sending them to someone, please, do some quality check. Make sure, that those pictures are appropriate and that you don't abuse anyone's privacy by posting them. You must respect others' rights to privacy — meaning, that people should be at liberty not to be shown in any of your online publications.

Don't take your pets with you to the course: that's a strict rule for holding a social event.

Keep quiet in the evenings and at night time: refrain from any noisy gatherings, display of your vocal-instrumental skills or listening to this summer's hits in the campgrounds and nearby after dark.

Swimming in the Oka-river and recreation on the riverside are only allowed in bathing suits! Don't forget to be sensible while swimming, especially when safety of your children is concerned. Despite apparent tranquility, the river can be very dangerous with its fast currents and possible whirlpools.

Making fires is prohibited anywhere except specially designated areas.

A warning from our Medical Aid Station: The course will comply with the sanitary measures established in the Kaluga Region because of the spread of COVID-19. The organizers will ask the participants to measure the temperature in a non-contact way at registration, before lectures and meditations.

You can bring medical masks and disposable gloves with you and they will be available for purchase on the course place.

During lectures and meditations, as well as in the dining room, the distance between the participants should be at least 1.5 meters. If you have not yet received the coronavirus vaccine, you can get it in May or June - this way you take care of the health of other participants in the course.

if you have any chronic illnesses or pre-existing conditions — please, make sure to take all the required medications with you. The medical aid station might not have the medications you need or have them in deficiency. And finally, don't forget to follow hygiene rules at the course too.
